28th December 2011
Vacation exchange company RCI, is hosting the Shared Ownership Conference on January 10, 2012 at the JW Marriott, Mumbai. The conference aims to help audiences discover the key to turning assets into opportunities as it delves into the shared ownership industry in detail.
The day-long conference, for which our sister site Fractional Life is a Silver Sponsor, will be an essential forum for hoteliers, resort owners, real estate developers, investors and hospitality consultants to understand and explore the benefits of shared ownership and the ways in which it can be successfully integrated into leisure real-estate developments to maximize the revenue potential of available assets.
"RCI was early to advance the case for timeshare development in India,” said Geoff Ballotti, CEO, RCI. “And the tremendous success that RCI’s affiliates have experienced across the country over the past 20 years confirms the opportunity for all developers of real estate to explore the many benefits that shared ownership has to offer. Our operations, marketing and business development teams in our offices across India remain more committed than ever to helping our developers capitalize on the significant demand for their vacation offerings and services that is growing in India today."
The conference boasts an impressive list of industry experts from around the world who will share experiences and provide insights into this dynamic and resilient industry. Fractional Trade founder Piers Brown is a panelist on the fractional ownership session, while other speakers include Sean Lowe, managing director, RCI EMEAI; Gregg Anderson, global vice president, The Registry Collection; Gordon Gurnik, president, RCI; Howard Nusbaum, president and chief executive officer, ARDA, and Shari Levitin, founder and chief executive officer of Levitin Group.
The conference will also provide an opportunity for speakers to share their vast knowledge through panel discussions on critical industry issues including challenges and solutions for entering the business, leisure real estate opportunities for the luxury market in India, legal dynamics of fractional ownership, industry innovations and implementation of best practices within the industry.
“Travel and tourism is one of the fastest growing industries in India, with timeshare doing particularly well,” said Radhika Shastry, managing director, RCI India. “This is due to improvements in infrastructure coupled with rising disposable income and a desire for unique holiday experiences. With so many new players in the industry, educational programs are invaluable. RCI is pleased to be hosting this unique Shared Ownership Conference that will provide a learning platform for existing and potential developers.”
